Video - The Dubliners & The Pogues - Whiskey in the Jar

Welcome back, we're glad you're here!

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day! What better way to get into gear for this most Irish of all holidays, than by listening to an iconic Irish song, performed by two iconic Irish bands? I love, love, LOVE this 1987 collaboration between The Dubliners and The Pogues. There’s whiskey in the jar, and bless him, in The Pogues’ lead singer Shane MacGowan as well. Ronnie Drew, vocalist and founding member of The Dubliners, passed away in August of last year. Vale, Ronnie, you are missed.

And here’s the video, before I get myself upset. (This is a happy post, really.)

Slainte,

Bonnie
